“Personal Concierge or Big Brother? Balancing the Possibilities of Big Data with the Need for Privacy” is a moderated panel discussion, sponsored by the BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism in the Wake Forest School of Business. Its objective is to discuss the ethical dilemmas and implications for business uses of data, including but not limited to the landscape of consumer data, consumer privacy, and company policies for handling data.Guest panelists include Morgan Reed, Executive Director of ACT | The App Association, Alessandro Asquisti, Professor of Information Technology and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, and Lauren Rhue, Assistant Professor of IS and Analytics at Wake Forest University School of Business.
