The gear we use is professional gear.
We use professional Panasonic P2 Based HD cameras, broadcast quality that are used in some of the reality TV shows you see on TV (Pawn Stars, Iditarod, etc.)
These cameras all shoot in 1080 or 720 HD formats and all use SMPTE time-code to keep in sync, what does that mean? When shooting with 2-3 cameras those cameras have to be in sync so that when you switch from 1 angle to the other the audio and video has to be synchronized. You can do this by syncing the audio wave on your computer when editing (takes a longer time and not always 100%) or you can use time-code and the different angles snap into place. In the end time-code is far better and cheaper because we spend less hours on the computer.
